Suddenly and very speedily the re-licensing matter for the Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show (MIFGS) is to be on the Council’s Meeting Agenda next Tuesday 12th April 2011, less than a week after the show was dismantled! Why the extraordinary haste?

The MCC should create a new Permanent International Garden Show site at Docklands / E-Gate. It could be the site for a new Green -Carbon Horticultural Trade centre. It could also be used as a weekday\weekend farmers market site between shows. Its Time to go. This “Going Green” site will help create a warmth to the souless Docklands/E-Gate areas that has thus far eluded residents and the best of the town planners.
