Unfortunately not many children have been registered for the workshops at this time so CoM may not be able to run the children’s consultation. The Multicultural Hub is located at 506 Elizabeth Street (opposite the Queen Victoria Market). Consultation is being held in the Blue Room (doors will be open from 9.45 am) and lunch will be provided.
The Urban Forest Workshop was attended by a full house of interested cbd residents. Three children participated in the kids practical activities supervised by one of the park rangers. They were not shy in telling us what they enjoyed looking at on their way to school via the roving “mike”. There was cutting and pasting and art work – amazing that they were kept intrigued for 3 hours! An excellent lunch was provided courtesy of CoM. The next phase will be in June when CoM will talk us through vertical gardens, rooftops and balconies , so stay tuned!
