At approximately 12pm on the 17th of April there is Development Notice on Display at 14 Goldie Palace.
There are not enough amenities and services for existing residents supplied by Melbourne City Council?
Issues such as noise, access, parking and deliveries for tenants and residents are not given any consideration?
Headings become most difficult to try to walk, ride anywhere in the city as it’s a battle between trucks, cars and pedestrians and the limited footpath space, parking space (be it for bicycle or car) to allow the notion of “most liveable city” to become anything like a reality.
I believe it’s time for the council to start prioritising and spending resources and funds to make the the CBD liveable for the existing residents and tenancies rather than continue to feed unsustainable developments without any “community space – play areas”, etc.
Parking vouchers should be issued to all residential tenants to allow for the delivery of everything from groceries, services, and family and friends. This should be in the form of a permit which would allow a family or friends visiting to park beyond the “30 minute-one hour” time limit at no cost.
The rates are quite astronomical and what services, other than a multitude of rubbish trucks travelling throughout the night, are delivered for residents of the CBD?
