Residents 3000 November 2025 Event

We are pleased to invite you to our ninth Forum 3000 of the year.

This month, one of our sponsors, John D’all Amico, Managing Director of CBD Facilities Management will speak about the nuances of managing security in a multi-storey complex. 

John’s presentation touches on the management of communal spaces in which residents and their guests move freely without the fear of clashing with petty criminal and anti-social behaviour. He aims to offer a practical and common sense overview of the issues and parameters that can be used to make built environments safer. 

We are also welcoming Hedley Gaudin, General Manager of AOCM will talk about Owners Corporation Management in general. He may be able to clarify the recent VCAT ruling that has removed the ability of Owner Corporations (OCs) to enforce their rules. The ruling means OCs can no longer enforce many of their own rules unless 75% of all owners agree (a “special resolution”).  As owners well and truly know, getting a special resolution passed in a large multi-story building is almost impossible.

Forum 3000 – Recycling & Circular Economy

Residents 3000 are pleased to invite you to our fifth Forum 3000 of the year, which will be held at the Kelvin Club, 14-30 Melbourne Place (off Russell Street) on Thursday, 5 June 2025, from 6:00pm.

The event will focus on Recycling & Circular Economy for the high-rise communities and neighbourhoods of our city, including the latest rollouts and trials of Victoria’s Container Deposit Scheme.

Most residents in the postcode 3000 community live in apartment buildings. The latest recycling programs aim to further reduce waste going to landfill and improve the quality and quantity of recycling.

We are set to enjoy a unique array of guest presenters who will cover an interesting range of topics.

Follow-up of Building & Facilities Management …

Thank you to our November Forum 3000 guest speakers for an informative evening.

There was no shortage of interesting questions from the floor for the speakers, on how to deal with problematic issues which can arise, not only to do with owners corporation management, and facilities and building management, but also difficult or distressing issues with some committees.

Our guest speakers:

John Dall’Amico (principal of CBD Facility Management) provided a comprehensive overview of building and facility management for compliance, safety, and security issues, amongst many other requirements to capably maintain an apartment building. John was accompanied by members of his competent team.

Dean Robertson, Director City Safety, Security and Amenity, City of Melbourne provided a welcome update of safety in our city.

We are pleased to welcome guest speakers: Rick Deering from Fawkner May, Anton Block from KCL Law, John Dall’Amico from CBD Facility Management, along with some of their expert colleagues; who will present on Owners Corporations and Building & Facilities Management for residential apartment buildings in the CBD.

As most postcode 3000 residents live in apartments, this is sure to be an interesting and informative session, and will include plenty of time for questions and interaction with our guest speakers.
