Hello to all Residents 3000 members!
Come and join us on Thursday 4th September at 6pm for our monthly drinks and networking. This month we will be joined by two special guests. Sarah Lindenmayer, the Neighbourhood Development Officer at the City of Melbourne and Martin Mulvhill, President of the Drill Hall Residents Association. Have a talk to these people and learn about their contributions and passions for our Melbourne CBD precinct.
Your committee has been busy this past month preparing our application to City of Melbourne for a grant to further security measures in residential buildings. Details of our proposal will shortly be posted separately on this site.
You will also be aware that we have re-vitalised our image and branding. We hope that you like the clean lines and our tag line – Melbourne CBD Community Network. The round feature is a graphical representation of a drop pin that you find on Google Maps. The R is for Residents of course and the angle of the R represents the angle of the CBD grid which is not due North and South.
There are two more events being planned for October and November. In October we are having a Q & A event with invited speakers who can enlighten us as to policy concerning such issues as litter control, safety in the City, beautifying our lane-ways and other topics. More to come …
The other event is our Annual General Meeting that is scheduled for 24th November, 6pm at the Kelvin Club.
This year we will have a speaker as well as the formalities associated with the meeting. The committee is forming several sub-committees to help us further our mission. If you have a particular area of interest and would like to contribute to your community, then give some thought to joining one of our sub-committees. More later ….

Our aim is to promote the wellbeing, amenity and environment of CBD residents. To achieve this we consult with all levels of government, likeminded groups, organisations and local businesses, and facilitate neighbourhood engagement through social activities.
