How does Democracy work Mr. Birmingham?

Mr Simon Birmingham needs a refresher course in the workings of democracy – he seems to have forgotten that Adam Bandt (Federal Member for Melbourne) was democratically elected by the majority of voters ( real people, Mr. Birmingham!)) at the last election .. and guess what, Mr. Birmingham – Adam Bandt was listening to that group called “community”. It is the community pressing for change that you seem to have missed… not simply an MP “asking” for money and getting it..(below reported in today’s HeraldSun)

  1. Hello, this weekend is fastidious for me, because this point
in time i am reading this impressive informative post here at my house.

  2. Perhaps Mr Birmingham will benefit most from the Democracy education center planned as part of the refurbishment. This funding is a win for everyone; heritage, education, tourism and community, Regards, Tom from Fitzroy

  3. Wonderful to have an MP with such influence that even in a time of cost consciousness he is able to get money for a great cause just by asking for it (if that is what has happened) Is Birmingham suggesting it would be more appropriate to negotiate and sign a contract and then seek/obtain funding? And now what does he want? More funds wasted on yet another time and money wasting, politically motivated, investigation?
