While the Lord Mayor is no stranger to EastEnders, this is the first time that he will be attending in his new capacity. We know we can look forward to an informative and entertaining speech with no shortage of challenging questions from our group.

This is a wonderful opportunity to be up close and personal to our Lord Mayor and raise any matter that you would like him to discuss.

• The Lord Mayor has welcomed that the Federal Government has conditionally approved three high-rise towers in Queen Victoria Market’s Southern Precinct, despite concerns over heritage impacts.
• The Lord Mayor asserts that pedestrian etiquette in Melbourne has reached new lows. He suggests that we “return order to our footpaths while also celebrating our walking economy. Stay calm. Be kind. Keep left. Or we may need the strong arm of the law to fix things”.
• The City of Melbourne’s Community Engagement Policy is being reviewed and inputs are invited. Share your thoughts by 10 September 2025 and/or let the Lord Mayor know at EastEnders.
